The portrait sculpture is a wonderful tribute to the legacy of a person. During the renaissance, Italy saw a great revival of the art of portraiture. Previously reserved for rulers, and saints, the portrait became available to the merchant class starting around 1500 a.d. as a way to preserve the legacy of a person, commemorate an achievement or simply to record the physical characteristics of families through the generations. The idea of a portrait sculpture is not to capture a moment in time as a photograph would in the modern age, but rather to capture the essence of a person’s life; to depict the culmination of their experiences and achievements. Senti Memorial Sculpture seeks to re popularize the the rich tradition of family portraiture with our unique products.
Senti Memorial sculpture is owned and operated by artist Chris Oricchio as part of Studio Senti in Brooklyn, NY. We work from photographs that you provide or live sessions to create an accurate sculptural likeness.
We offer four standard formats; a classic portrait sculpture, a portrait sculpture with an urn base, a classic relief portrait and a relief portrait with urn capabilities. These options are offered in either concrete resin or bronze with a variety of finishes.
In addition to our standard options as a full service sculpture studio we can accommodate any special request.
